THE CORNUCOPIA - OPEN PAGES

examples of images from various

non-zuiko digital lenses on e-bodies

INTRODUCTION:

Over the months I have been sent many examples of images obtained using non-ZD lenses on the E-system bodies. Many of these show just how good (or just as importantly, how bad) the results are. Only recently have I found the time to put together a section of biofos where these can be properly sorted, categorised and shown; and for that I apologise.

These 'open pages' are dual purpose; they hopes to encourage folks who think that Zuiko Digital is the only glass to be used on the E-system that this is NOT the case AND; they offer a window for exponents of such lenses to show their talent and its result. It's obvious there is much interest in old glass and these pages will be a great addition to the main page about OM Zuikos on E-cameras which you can go to here.

HOW IT WORKS:

Anyone who has experimented using non-ZD lenses can share their experiences, good or bad, with everyone by sending images with a few explanatory notes to me here. They will be resized and any photographers comments included in a standard format before I post them to this open page.

For those thinking about purchasing 'old' glass I expect this page to become a great resource for anyone contemplating the ultimate in re-cycling and getting the benefit of some wonderful older technology. Here you will have the benefit of someone elses experience which may help you spend your money wisely!

Contributors are asked to contact me beforehand so I can manage incoming images and comments, but other than this my input will be minimal. You can think of this section as 'open pages'. If you do not wish to be identified please tell me and your contribution will be labelled 'anonymous'. Please also note that images shown here cannot be copyright protected.

For now the section will be arranged into two broad sections:

1. OM Zuiko lenses: those not covered in the major OM lenses on E-body section, which is here.

2. All other lenses.

To set it off in style I'm pleased to tell you I've had some great work sent by Jan Steinman of Canada who tests the OM dedicated macro lenses on his E-300.
